Naked Malt Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Naked Malt was formerly known as Naked Grouse, but it underwent a rebranding a few years ago to highlight its unique composition. Unlike traditional blended whiskies, which combine malt and grain spirits, Naked Malt exclusively features a blend of single malts from renowned distilleries: Macallan, Highland Park, Glenrothes, and Glenturret. These malts harmonize beautifully, resulting in a remarkably smooth and nuanced bottle.

Maturation: The first word in its name, “Naked,” alludes to its six-month maturation in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks—a departure from the more common ex-bourbon barrels. These “naked” casks, never having held whisky before, impart rich and fruity flavors to the spirit.

Flavor Profile: When you raise your glass, expect a symphony of delightful notes. On the nose, vanilla, raisins, and figs greet you, followed by buttered toast with raspberry jam. As it dances across your palate, you’ll encounter hints of peanuts, toffee, caramel, and stewed cherries. The finish is a grand finale of baking spices, walnuts, dark chocolate, and more stewed cherries.
