Two Stacks Whiskey Review

Two Stacks is a complex blend of Irish whiskey that brings together a variety of flavors and aromas. The blend consists of 40% dark grain whiskey aged in virgin oak, 40% light grain whiskey aged in bourbon casks, 8% pot stilled whiskey aged in oloroso sherry butts, 10% double malt aged in bourbon casks, and 2% peated malt aged in bourbon casks. This unique combination results in a smooth whiskey with a depth of flavors that’s unusual for Irish whiskey.

The initial aromas layer rich notes of apricots and peaches with sweet brown sugar, honey, and a bit of ocean air. The taste is incredibly smooth with apricots, peaches, and brown sugar from the nose evolving into hazelnuts, Bazooka Joe bubble gum, and a warm, earthy finish that never grows to a burn.

Two Stacks launched in the U.S. in a unique “Dram in a Can” four-packs. Despite the unconventional packaging, it had no effect on the taste and was actually fun. Whether you get the cans or the traditional bottle, this newcomer is well worth checking out.
